Food Processing Basics 2018

Hello again from Golden Food Science

Registration is now open for Food Processing Basics, the second course in preparation for the CRC exam. New CRC Study Sheets based on the RCACC Study Guide 2015 have been added to each lesson. The class will start mid July and run for ten weeks. Visit my website for more information

Good Manufacturing Practices

I just created a new course for companies starting to develop their Food Safety Plan or individuals wanting to learn more about Good Manufacturing Practices. A Food Safety Plan is required by the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) for all companies. Good Manufacturing Practices are the foundation of a strong Food Safety System. This short course covers Chapter 3 of the FSPCA Preventive Controls for Human Food Participants Manual on Good Manufacturing Practices. Participants are required to survey their facility and use the Food Safety Plan Builder to begin the development of their food safety plan. Contact me for more information.

2018 Class Dates

Are you planning ahead, well here are the dates for next year’s classes.

  • Food Science Basics will run from April 12, 2018 to June 14th.
  • Food Processing Basics will run from start July 19, 1018 to September 20.

Each class will last 10 weeks, with weekly online meetings, course materials in Canvas, and practice quizzes.

Registration is Now Open for Food Science Basics

Food Science Basics, is specifically designed to prepare you for the Certified Research Chefs (CRC) exam. Information about becoming a Certified Research Chef can be found at The Research Chefs Association Website .

The first class meeting is April 12, 2018.

This is an online course with materials available 24/7. Live weekly meetings are held on Thursdays at 3 PM Pacific/6 PM Eastern time. Live meetings are recorded for later viewing. View the Syllabus below for topics and dates.

In today’s world, competition and competency is imperative now more than ever. The RCA solidifies food and science, making it Culinology. Being certified is an accomplishment to say the least.
